Thread Adaptor EExd, Male x Female, Type AB

Raxton EExd Adaptors provide a means of connection between dissimilar thread forms and sizes.

The female thread of an adaptor should be no more than one size larger than the male thread or the equivalent of one size in the case of dissimilar thread forms. E.g. M20(M) to M25(F) and M20(M) to 3/4`NPT(F) is acceptable, whereas M20(M) to M32(F) or M20(M) to 1`NPT(F) is not permitted.

Adaptors are supplied with a hexagonal body as standard. However, where fitting space is limited, adaptors can be supplied with a round body. The diameter of the body will be equal to the across flats dimension of the standard hexagonal body.

In line with the basic rules of good engineering practice, no more than one adaptor shall be used at one time on any given cable entry.

Raxton EExd Adaptors are marked with the applicable approval number and size.
